Mouse Collagen alpha-1 (XV)chain (Col15a1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of mouse Collagen alpha-1 (XV) chain (COL15A1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The colorimetric assay is for research use only.

COL15A1 is a structural component of the extracellular matrix with roles in tissue remodelling, cell adhesion and wound healing. Abnormal levels have been associated with diseases including fibrosis, cancer and connective tissue disorders. The protein, also known as Restin or Endostatin-XV, is secreted into the extracellular space and matrix, forms a disulfide-linked trimer, and is described as a potent inhibitor of angiogenesis that stabilises microvessels and muscle cells in heart and skeletal muscle.

Validated performance includes a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.9 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.9% and inter-assay CV is 8.4%. Dilutional linearity (N=5) ranges from 98–108% to 108–117% for serum, 86–121% for EDTA plasma, and 88–117% for heparin plasma across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions. Recovery is 101% (95–107%) in serum and 103% (97–109%) in plasma. The assay recognises natural and recombinant mouse Collagen alpha-1(XV) chain.
