Mouse COL4/Collagen IV ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of collagen IV levels in mouse samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection and is reactive against mouse. The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Collagen IV is described as a key component of the extracellular matrix that maintains the structural integrity and function of basement membranes, and its dysregulation has been implicated in kidney disorders, vascular diseases, and certain types of cancer.

Quoted performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and an assay range of 1.563-100 ng/mL. Dilutional linearity for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions ranges from 80% to 104%. Average recovery is 96% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma and 98% in heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The protocol proceeds through reagent and TMB substrate equilibration, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, addition of stop solution and immediate absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
