Mouse COL1A1/Collagen I ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of Collagen I (COL1A1) levels in mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format provides a sensitive tool for research into extracellular matrix biology and diseases associated with abnormalities in Collagen I, including fibrosis, arthritis, and skin disorders.

Key specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, with colorimetric detection. Validated linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 has been demonstrated for serum (89–99%, 86–101%, and 85–100% respectively), EDTA plasma (88–96%, 82–97%, and 82–90%), and heparin plasma (95–104%, 82–95%, and 82–98%). Recovery ranges are 93–104% for serum (average 100%), 87–97% for EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 90–103% for heparin plasma (average 94%).

The assay workflow involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading samples and standards onto pre-coated wells, incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
