Mouse Cofilin-1 (Cfl1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative detection of Mouse Cofilin-1 (Cfl1), also referred to as cofilin, non-muscle isoform, in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method, is reactive with mouse samples and shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Cofilin-1 (UniProt P18760). It is intended for research use only and is suited to studies within the cancer research area, as well as the broader context of actin cytoskeleton regulation.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 6.3%. Dilutional linearity is reported as 86–96% (1:2), 92–102% (1:4), 90–100% (1:8) and 85–96% (1:16) for serum (n=5); 105–114%, 94–104%, 108–108% and 100–113% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 106–118%, 102–112%, 102–112% and 88–98% for heparin plasma (n=5). Spike-and-recovery averages 104% (range 98–110%) for serum and 106% (range 100–112%) for plasma.

Cofilin-1 binds F-actin and exhibits pH-sensitive F-actin depolymerizing activity, contributing to the regulation of actin cytoskeleton dynamics, mitotic progression, cytokinesis and cell morphology, and is required for neural tube morphogenesis and neural crest cell migration. The protein has a reported molecular weight of 18,560 Da and is detected in the nucleus matrix, cytoplasm, cytoskeleton and at membrane ruffles and lamellipodia. For research use only.
