Mouse Coagulation factor IX (F9) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of mouse coagulation factor IX (F9), also referred to as Christmas factor. The kit is intended for research use only and supports studies of the blood clotting cascade, hemostasis, and related disorders including hemophilia B in mouse models.

Validated for mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, the assay is specific to natural and recombinant mouse coagulation factor IX. Factor IX is a vitamin K-dependent plasma protein that operates in the intrinsic coagulation pathway by converting factor X to its active form in the presence of Ca(2+) ions, phospholipids, and factor VIIIa. The mature protein is secreted as a heterodimer of a light chain and a heavy chain that are disulfide-linked and interacts with SERPINC1.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.086 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.4%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Serum samples show an average recovery of 102% (range 96–108%) and plasma samples an average of 104% (range 98–110%). The kit falls within the Immunology research area, and optical density is read at 450 nm.
