CD14 (cluster of differentiation 14) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored cell surface pattern recognition receptor that serves as a co-receptor for Toll-like receptor 4 in the detection of bacterial lipopolysaccharide. Expressed primarily on monocytes, macrophages, and to a lesser extent neutrophils, CD14 plays a central role in innate immune activation and is widely used as a marker of myeloid-lineage cells in studies of inflammation, sepsis, and host defense.
This mouse-reactive ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of CD14 across serum samples, plasma specimens, and tissue homogenates, supporting research into murine models of infection, endotoxemia, and chronic inflammatory disease. The assay is configured for in vitro research use only on a standard microplate, with all capture antibody, detection reagent, standards, and buffers supplied as part of the kit. Reagents should be stored refrigerated between uses, and the plate should be protected from light during incubation steps.
