Mouse Citrate synthase, mitochondrial (Cs) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise measurement of citrate synthase levels in mouse samples, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie offers a high-specificity tool for research into mitochondrial function and energy metabolism. Citrate synthase is a key enzyme in the citric acid cycle, catalysing the first step in which acetyl coenzyme A and oxaloacetate are converted to citrate and coenzyme A, and serves as a valuable biomarker for studies of cellular metabolism, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction. The assay is validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse citrate synthase, mitochondrial (synonym: Citrate (Si)-synthase), with a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.413ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 6.9% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 8.8% (CV). Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across a dilution series from 1:2 to 1:16. Spike-and-recovery averages 104% (range 98-110) in serum and 106% (range 100-112) in plasma. The target is a homodimer localised to the mitochondrion matrix, with UniProt accession Q9CZU6 and a molecular weight of 51,737 Da; the official gene symbol is Cs.
