Mouse Choline O-acetyltransferase (Chat) ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, the Mouse Choline O-acetyltransferase (ChAT) ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of ChAT in mouse samples. ChAT is an enzyme that catalyzes the reversible synthesis of acetylcholine (ACh) from acetyl CoA and choline at cholinergic synapses, playing a crucial role in cholinergic neurotransmission. Dysregulation of ChAT has been implicated in a range of neurological disorders, making this kit a valuable tool for studying these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions in neurobiology and neurodegenerative diseases research.

The assay uses a colorimetric sandwich ELISA detection method and is compatible with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It has a sensitivity of 0.46 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL, with intra-assay precision of CV 4.9% and inter-assay precision of CV 8.4%. Specificity is stated for natural and recombinant mouse Choline O-acetyltransferase (UniProt Q03059). The kit is intended for research use only.

Linearity data are provided for serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. Recovery is 98% (range 92–104%) for serum and 100% (range 94–106%) for plasma.
