Mouse Cholecystokinin (Cck) ELISA Kit

The assay is configured as a competitive immunoassay with colorimetric detection, and it is suited to research in metabolism, including investigations of gastrointestinal function, appetite regulation, obesity, and eating disorders.

Cholecystokinin is a secreted peptide hormone of the gastrin/cholecystokinin family. It induces gall bladder contraction and the release of pancreatic enzymes in the gut, and binding to CCK-A receptors stimulates amylase release from the pancreas while binding to CCK-B receptors stimulates gastric acid secretion. The kit recognises natural and recombinant mouse cholecystokinin (UniProt P09240) and is labelled for research use only.

Stated performance characteristics include a detection range of 6.25-400pg/mL, a sensitivity of 3.235pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.9%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Serum recovery averages 106% (range 100-112%) and plasma recovery averages 108% (range 102-114%).
