Mouse Chitotriosidase-1 (Chit1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA developed by Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of mouse Chitotriosidase-1 (CHIT1). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method, is reactive with mouse samples, and is supplied as a complete kit intended for research use only within the immunology field.

The kit has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects natural and recombinant mouse Chitotriosidase-1. Reported performance includes a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 6.3%. It ships with a dismountable microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with component-specific storage between −20 °C and 4 °C as detailed in the enclosed insert.

According to UniProt entry Q9D7Q1, CHIT1 is a secreted monomeric enzyme that degrades chitin, chitotriose and chitobiose and may participate in defense against nematodes and other pathogens. The kit supports research into CHIT1's roles in inflammatory responses, immune modulation, and in metabolic, infectious and autoimmune disorders in which CHIT1 dysregulation has been implicated.
