Mouse CHI3L1 (Chitinase-3-like protein 1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection to quantify mouse CHI3L1, also known as YKL-40. CHI3L1 is a glycoprotein involved in inflammation, tissue remodeling, and cell proliferation, and elevated levels have been associated with asthma, arthritis, and cancer, supporting its value as a biomarker for inflammatory and chronic disease research.

The kit has a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a working range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL, and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The protocol involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labeled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin incubation, and 10-20 minutes of TMB color development, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported linearity (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions was 81-98% for serum, 83-104% for EDTA plasma, and 83-100% for heparin plasma. Average recovery was 94% for serum (range 85-103%), 92% for EDTA plasma (range 85-100%), and 97% for heparin plasma (range 88-103%). Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
