Mouse Charcot Leyden Crystal Protein (CLC) ELISA Kit

This research-use immunoassay from Assay Genie quantifies Charcot-Leyden Crystal protein (CLC), the 16.5 kDa lysophospholipase also known as Galectin-10 (LGALS10) that is concentrated in eosinophil and basophil crystalloid granules. Configured for 96 assays per kit, the assay combines a matched capture-and-detection antibody pair with an HRP-TMB readout to generate a colorimetric signal on a standard microplate reader. Mouse-derived sample matrices are supported, including serum specimens, plasma specimens, prepared tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and clarified cell culture supernatant. The kit is applied in studies of allergic airway inflammation, eosinophilic esophagitis, helminth infection, and asthma pathogenesis, where CLC release is monitored as a marker of eosinophil degranulation in murine disease models. Antibody specificity is directed to mouse Galectin-10, making the assay appropriate for tracking CLC across mouse systems. To preserve activity, reconstituted standards and enzyme conjugate working solutions should be kept refrigerated, and unused lyophilized components should be stored frozen at -20 °C, with care taken to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
