Mouse CCT2 is the beta subunit of the cytosolic chaperonin-containing TCP-1 ring complex (also called TRiC or CCT), an eight-subunit, group II chaperonin that mediates ATP-dependent folding of actin, tubulin, and numerous WD40-repeat client proteins. This Mouse Chaperonin Containing TCP1, Subunit 2 (CCT2) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is configured as a sandwich ELISA for quantitative measurement of CCT2 in mouse tissue homogenates, with antibody pairs directed against the ~57 kDa CCT2 polypeptide and minimal cross-reactivity against the other CCT subunits (CCT1, CCT3–CCT8).

The kit includes a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, substrate, and wash buffer sufficient for 96 determinations. Researchers add 50 uL of standard or diluted sample per well, run the colour development, and read absorbance. Reagents should be stored refrigerated and protected from light, with reconstituted standards kept frozen in aliquots to limit freeze-thaw loss.

Application areas include studies of cytoskeletal proteostasis, cancer cell proliferation, neurodegeneration, and chaperoninopathies where CCT2 levels correlate with folding capacity. This kit is intended for research use only.
