Mouse CFL1/Cofilin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the quantitative measurement of cofilin (CFL1) in mouse samples using a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a stated sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. All components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Cofilin is a key regulator of actin dynamics, playing critical roles in cell migration, cytokinesis and neuronal development. Dysregulation of cofilin has been associated with cancer, Alzheimer's disease and autoimmune disorders, supporting its value as a research biomarker. The assay follows a six-step workflow: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature and load standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate; incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes for antigen binding; add biotin-labelled detection antibody and incubate at 37°C for 60 minutes; add HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes; develop colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes; then add stop solution and read absorbance at 450 nm.

Reported linearity (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions falls within 86–105% for serum, 83–101% for EDTA plasma and 81–100% for heparin plasma. Average recovery values are 99% (range 86–104%) for serum, 94% (range 86–105%) for EDTA plasma and 95% (range 87–102%) for heparin plasma. The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer (25X), plate sealer and a technical manual.
