Mouse Ceruloplasmin (Cp) ELISA Kit

For quantitative measurement of mouse ceruloplasmin in research samples, Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA kit with colorimetric detection. The assay is reactive with mouse and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse ceruloplasmin, also known as ferroxidase.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 4.69-300ng/mL and a sensitivity of 2.345ng/mL. Precision is stated as an intra-assay CV of 6.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Recovery averages 102% in serum (range 96-108%) and 104% in plasma (range 98-110%). Linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Ceruloplasmin is a blue, copper-binding glycoprotein carrying approximately six to seven copper atoms per molecule. It displays ferroxidase activity, oxidising Fe2+ to Fe3+ without releasing radical oxygen species, and contributes to copper transport, iron metabolism and antioxidant defence. The protein has been linked to conditions including Wilson's disease and Alzheimer's disease, supporting its value in studies of homeostasis and disease models. For research use only.
