Mouse Ceramide glucosyltransferase (Ugcg) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Ceramide glucosyltransferase (Ugcg). Reactive with mouse samples, it accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Ceramide glucosyltransferase.

The assay delivers a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.812 ng/mL. According to the manufacturer, UGCG catalyzes the first glycosylation step in glycosphingolipid biosynthesis — the transfer of glucose to ceramide — and may also serve as a flippase. The enzyme is a multi-pass membrane protein localised to the Golgi apparatus membrane and falls within the cardiovascular research area.
