Description

This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse CDK-activating kinase assembly factor MAT1 (Mnat1), also known as CDK7/cyclin-H assembly factor, Menage a trois, RING finger protein MAT1, p35 and p36. The assay recognises natural and recombinant mouse MAT1 and is reactive with mouse samples.

MAT1/MNAT1 stabilises the cyclin H–CDK7 complex to form a functional CDK-activating kinase (CAK), which activates the cyclin-associated kinases CDK1, CDK2, CDK4 and CDK6 by threonine phosphorylation and, as part of core-TFIIH, activates RNA polymerase II by serine phosphorylation of its C-terminal domain (CTD). The protein is involved in cell cycle control and RNA transcription by RNA polymerase II and is studied within the cancer research area. It has a molecular weight of 35,848 Da and localises to the nucleus (UniProt P51949).

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The reported detection range is 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.049ng/mL. Reported linearity at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5) is 99-111%, 92-103%, 91-101% and 106-117% for serum; 88-97%, 92-102%, 106-115% and 84-94% for EDTA plasma; and 97-107%, 102-115%, 103-113% and 92-102% for heparin plasma. The kit is supplied in a solid-phase format, is stored at -20°C, is shipped at +4°C and is intended for research use only.
