Mouse CD68/Macrosialin ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse CD68/Macrosialin in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody method uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody, and HRP-conjugated Streptavidin to produce a colorimetric signal. Absorbance is read at 450 nm after TMB substrate development and addition of stop solution.

CD68/Macrosialin is described as playing a role in phagocytic activities of tissue macrophages, in both intracellular lysosomal metabolism and extracellular cell-cell and cell-pathogen interactions. It binds to tissue- and organ-specific lectins or selectins, allowing homing of macrophage subsets to particular sites, and is N- and O-glycosylated. Stated performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.781-50 ng/mL. Reported recovery values are 86-103% (average 95%) for serum, 89-105% (average 97%) for EDTA plasma, and 86-96% (average 96%) for heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is reported at 84-95% / 81-99% / 82-94% for serum, 82-93% / 82-98% / 86-102% for EDTA plasma, and 94-105% / 82-98% / 85-94% for heparin plasma. Precision is reported as intra-assay CV<8% and inter-assay CV<10%.

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer, and a technical manual.
