Description

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of CD41/Integrin alpha 2b in mouse samples, and is intended for research relating to platelet aggregation, thrombus formation, hemostasis and vascular integrity. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a colorimetric readout, and the kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance specifications quoted by the manufacturer include a detection sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a standard curve range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85-104% for serum (n = 5), 83-101% for EDTA plasma (n = 5) and 82-98% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery averages are 94% in serum (range 85-104%), 99% in EDTA plasma (range 95-103%) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 87-105%). Reagents are stored at 2-8°C, with components stated as remaining stable for 12 months under those conditions.

The procedure comprises reagent and plate equilibration at room temperature, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm immediately after stop solution addition. Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant and cell lysate.
