Mouse Cathepsin S (Ctss) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of mouse Cathepsin S (Ctss) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is intended for research use only.

According to the manufacturer's specification, the kit reports a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.079ng/mL. Precision data include an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.4%. Linearity has been assessed in serum (82-116%), EDTA plasma (103-120%) and heparin plasma (95-118%) across dilution ratios from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery is reported at 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. Kit components are shipped at +4°C and stored at -20°C.

Cathepsin S is a thiol protease belonging to the peptidase C1 family and is described as the key protease responsible for the removal of the invariant chain from MHC class II molecules, with roles in antigen presentation and immune response regulation.
