Mouse Cathepsin K (Ctsk) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise and sensitive detection of mouse Cathepsin K (Ctsk). The assay measures the target in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Cathepsin K is a key enzyme involved in bone resorption and remodeling, supporting research into osteoporosis and related bone disorders, as well as broader signal transduction studies.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.083ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.9% and inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions. Recovery averages 103% for serum and 105% for plasma, with ranges of 97–109% and 99–111%, respectively.

The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Cathepsin K, a lysosomal cysteine-type endopeptidase that plays an important role in extracellular matrix degradation and osteoclastic bone resorption. The product is intended for research use only.
