Mouse Cathepsin B (Ctsb) ELISA Kit

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method with a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.422ng/mL. Precision data show an intra-assay CV of 7.6% and an inter-assay CV of 9.7%.

Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery averaged 101% in serum (range 95-107%) and 103% in plasma (range 97-109%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Cathepsin B and is intended for research use only, with a noted research area of cancer. Cathepsin B (Uniprot P10605) is described as a thiol protease implicated in intracellular protein degradation and turnover, as well as in tumor invasion and metastasis, with subcellular localisation at the lysosome, melanosome and extracellular space.
