Mouse Catalase ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of catalase in mouse samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric readout at 450 nm. Catalase is an enzyme that breaks down hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen, supporting research on oxidative stress, cellular metabolism, and potential therapeutic strategies for conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders.

Sensitivity is reported at 9.375 pg/mL with a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Validated matrices include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Across n = 5 samples, average recovery is 98% for serum (range 85-100%), 98% for EDTA plasma (range 89-103%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 91-103%). Linearity (n = 5) is reported at 91-105% (1:2), 87-99% (1:4), and 83-98% (1:8) for serum; 90-105% (1:2), 84-97% (1:4), and 88-104% (1:8) for EDTA plasma; and 82-99% (1:2), 87-96% (1:4), and 89-103% (1:8) for heparin plasma.

The procedure employs a biotin-labelled detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, developed in the dark for 10-20 minutes before stop solution and absorbance measurement. Kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
