Mouse Caspase-8 (Casp8) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of mouse Caspase-8 (CASP8) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and recognises natural and recombinant mouse Caspase-8. The reported detection range is 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.093 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.1% and inter-assay CV is 7.7%. Spiked recovery averages 83% for serum (range 80–89%) and 85% for plasma (range 80–91%). Linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.

Caspase-8 is described as the most upstream protease of the caspase activation cascade responsible for TNFRSF6/FAS-mediated and TNFRSF1A-induced cell death, binding the adapter molecule FADD to form the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) and subsequently activating downstream apoptotic proteases.
