Mouse Caspase-4 (Casp4) ELISA Kit

Caspase-4 (also referred to by the synonyms Caspase-11, Protease ICH-3, CASP-11, CASP-4, Casp11, Caspl and Ich3) is a proinflammatory caspase that acts as an essential effector of NLRP3 inflammasome-dependent CASP1 activation and the secretion of IL1B and IL18 in response to non-canonical activators. It also promotes pyroptosis through GSDMD cleavage and plays a role in restricting Salmonella typhimurium replication in colonic epithelial cells during infection. Dysregulation of caspase-4 has been implicated in sepsis, inflammatory bowel disease and autoimmune disorders, supporting its value as a biomarker for studying inflammatory and immune responses in mouse models.
