Mouse Caspase-12 (Casp12) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Caspase-12 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Caspase-12 is an enzyme involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution, playing a critical role in regulating cell death and inflammation. Dysregulation of caspase-12 has been implicated in neurodegenerative disorders, autoimmune diseases, and cancer, making this kit a useful tool for research in neurosciences and apoptosis.

The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Caspase-12 and uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm. Validated performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.083 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.9%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Recovery in serum averages 94% (range 88-100%) and in plasma averages 96% (range 90-102%), and linearity has been demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at multiple dilutions.
