Mouse Cartilage intermediate layer protein 1 (Cilp) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Cartilage intermediate layer protein 1 (CILP-1) in research samples. The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse CILP-1 with a sensitivity of 40.7pg/mL and a working detection range of 78-5000pg/ml, delivering reproducibility reflected in an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%.

Validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, the kit is suited to studies of cartilage biology and disease pathology. Reported recovery averages 103% for serum (range 97-109%) and 105% for plasma (range 99-111%).

CILP-1 is implicated in cartilage scaffolding and the maintenance of cartilage homeostasis, with dysregulation linked to osteoarthritis and other joint disorders. Defects in the protein are also a cause of susceptibility to intervertebral disk disease.
