Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie, configured for the quantitative measurement of mouse Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 5 (CEACAM5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse CEACAM5, also referred to as Pregnancy-specific glycoprotein 30 (Psg30). For research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39.2 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 9.2%. Linearity has been validated in serum (80–91% to 95–107% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, N=5), EDTA plasma (80–92% to 106–118%) and heparin plasma (81–90% to 107–117%). Recovery averages 89% (range 83–95%) for serum and 91% (range 85–97%) for plasma. CEACAM5 is a cell surface glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily and CEA family, implicated in cell adhesion, intracellular signaling and tumor progression, with research applications in cancer biology (UniProt Q3UKK2).
