Mouse Carboxypeptidase B2 (Cpb2) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Carboxypeptidase B2 (Cpb2), also known by the synonyms Carboxypeptidase R, Carboxypeptidase U, and Thrombin-activable fibrinolysis inhibitor (CPR, CPU, TAFI). The assay is reactive with mouse and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity toward natural and recombinant mouse Carboxypeptidase B2.

The kit delivers a detection range of 7.8-500ng/mL with a sensitivity of 3.95ng/mL. Reproducibility is reported with an intra-assay CV of 8.3% and an inter-assay CV of 10.1%. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 yields recoveries of 83-92%, 100-110%, 89-98%, and 109-119% for serum (N=5); 105-117%, 104-116%, 108-117%, and 91-99% for EDTA plasma (N=5); and 104-116%, 92-105%, 93-105%, and 99-110% for heparin plasma (N=5). Average recovery is 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. Carboxypeptidase B2 is a secreted metalloprotease belonging to the peptidase M14 family that cleaves C-terminal arginine or lysine residues from biologically active peptides such as kinins and anaphylatoxins, thereby regulating fibrinolysis. Dysregulation of CPB2 has been linked to disorders including thrombosis, hypertension, and inflammation.
