Mouse Carbonic anhydrase 4 (Ca4) ELISA Kit

Carbonic Anhydrase 4 is a key enzyme that catalyses the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide and contributes to pH homeostasis, where it may stimulate the sodium/bicarbonate transporter activity of SLC4A4 and participates in acid overload removal from the retina and retinal epithelium. Defects in CA4 are the cause of retinitis pigmentosa type 17 (RP17), an autosomal dominant condition associated with photoreceptor degeneration and progressive vision loss.
