Mouse Carbonic anhydrase 1 (Ca1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of mouse Carbonic anhydrase 1 (CA1), also referred to as Carbonate dehydratase I, Carbonic anhydrase I, CA-I and Car1. The assay is for research use only and is reactive with mouse samples, supporting studies on the role of CA1 in acid-base balance and in metabolic, kidney and neurological disorders.

CA1 is a cytoplasmic enzyme that catalyses the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse CA1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric method read at 450 nm.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.421ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 8.5%. Reported linearity for serum (N=5) is 96-107% at 1:2, 96-106% at 1:4, 98-108% at 1:8 and 91-104% at 1:16; EDTA plasma 115-125%, 92-102%, 107-116% and 91-103%; heparin plasma 86-96%, 106-118%, 101-109% and 100-109%. Recovery averages 96% (range 90-102) for serum and 98% (range 92-104) for plasma. The target protein (UniProt P13634) has a molecular weight of 28,331 Da, and supplied components are stored at -20°C or 4°C as indicated.
