Description
A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of CAR (Constitutive Androstane Receptor), also known as NR1I3, in mouse samples. CAR is a nuclear receptor that plays a role in regulating drug metabolism and detoxification pathways in the liver, and the kit is intended for research applications including drug metabolism, toxicology, and liver function studies in mouse models. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is reactive with mouse samples.
Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL, with a measuring range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. The kit should be stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months. In the standard protocol, standards, samples and controls are loaded onto the pre-coated plate and incubated at 37 °C for 90 minutes, followed by a biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37 °C for 60 minutes and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) at 37 °C for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is then added and the plate incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes before stop solution is applied and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
The kit is suited to investigating xenobiotic metabolism, potential drug interactions, and the physiological and pathological roles of CAR in mouse models.
