Quantitative measurement of mouse calmodulin supports research into calcium-dependent signaling pathways across neuroscience, immunology, and cardiovascular fields. The Assay Genie Mouse Calmodulin (CAM) ELISA Kit provides a complete immunoassay for detecting this 17 kDa calcium-binding messenger protein in specimens from mouse blood, organs, and cultured cell preparations.

Calmodulin transduces intracellular calcium signals by activating kinases such as CaMKII, modulating ion channel function, and regulating cyclic-nucleotide phosphodiesterases. Investigators studying synaptic plasticity, neuronal degeneration, smooth muscle contraction, or T-cell activation rely on calmodulin quantification as a reference marker against which experimental interventions can be normalized. The kit accommodates both normal mouse strains and transgenic or knock-out disease models, supporting experiments that compare baseline calcium-signaling activity against genetically or pharmacologically perturbed systems.

Each package contains a pre-coated microplate sealed in a protective pouch, lyophilized protein standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer concentrate, TMB substrate, and stop solution. The workflow follows standard ELISA procedure: samples and standards are added to wells, incubated with detection reagents, washed, developed with substrate, and the absorbance is read on a microplate reader. Reagents are sufficient for 96 determinations per kit. Intended for research use only in in vitro applications and laboratory research settings.
