Mouse Calumenin/CALU ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Mouse Calumenin/CALU ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse calumenin (CALU) concentrations in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. The product is reactive with mouse samples and is supplied for research use only. Calumenin is a calcium-binding protein involved in regulation of vitamin K-dependent carboxylation of multiple N-terminal glutamate residues, with roles in calcium homeostasis, cell signaling, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis; dysregulation has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions. Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/ml and a detection range of 7.813–500 pg/ml. Recovery was assessed by spiking matrices with mouse CALU: serum (n=5) ranged 90–104% with an average of 99%; EDTA plasma (n=5) ranged 92–104% with an average of 99%; and UFH plasma (n=5) ranged 88–104% with an average of 92%. Linearity was demonstrated by serial dilution of spiked samples, with calculated-to-expected percentages falling within the reported ranges (for example, 85–105% for serum at a 1:2 dilution, and 81–98% for UFH plasma at a 1:8 dilution). Intra-assay CV is reported as less than 8% and inter-assay CV as less than 10%.
