Mouse Calpastatin ELISA Kit

Calpastatin is an endogenous inhibitor of the calpain family of calcium-dependent cysteine proteases and is implicated in cellular processes such as cell migration, adhesion, and apoptosis. Altered calpastatin regulation has been associated with conditions including muscular dystrophy, Alzheimer's disease, and cancer, making it a relevant biomarker in research. Reported linearity at the 1:2 dilution is 89–103% for serum, 84–101% for EDTA plasma, and 83–100% for heparin plasma. Recovery is reported as 93–102% (average 99%) for serum, 92–100% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 94–105% (average 99%) for heparin plasma.

The workflow involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for antigen binding, adding a biotin-labeled detection antibody, binding HRP-Streptavidin, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
