Description
From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is for research use only and measures mouse calcitonin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is reactive with mouse samples and uses a colorimetric detection method.
The detection range is 31.2-2000pg/mL and the sensitivity is 15.78pg/mL. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Calcitonin gene-related peptide 1, and exact storage conditions are supplied with the kit.
CGRP induces vasodilation and dilates coronary, cerebral and systemic vasculature. Its abundance in the CNS points toward a neurotransmitter or neuromodulator role, and it elevates platelet cAMP.
