Mouse Cadherin, Epithelial (CDHE) ELISA Kit

E-cadherin, also designated CDHE or CDH1, is a calcium-dependent transmembrane glycoprotein of approximately 120 kDa that mediates homotypic adhesion between neighboring epithelial cells. It anchors the actin cytoskeleton through β-catenin and α-catenin linkage, stabilizing adherens junctions and preserving the integrity of epithelial barriers.

This Assay Genie kit supports quantitative measurement of CDHE in mouse-derived specimens, enabling research into epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), tumor invasion, and tissue morphogenesis. Reduced E-cadherin expression is a recognized hallmark of metastatic carcinoma progression in breast, gastric, and colorectal cancer models.
