Mouse Cadherin-7 (Cdh7) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise quantification of mouse Cadherin-7 (CDH7) in biological samples, offering high sensitivity and specificity for a range of research applications. The assay is reactive with mouse and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Detection is colorimetric with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.43 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.2% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (101-112%, 80-90%, 83-93% and 105-118% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (105-115%, 82-90%, 103-113% and 85-94%) and heparin plasma (82-93%, 91-103%, 98-107% and 111-123%). Recovery averages 95% in serum (range 89-101%) and 97% in plasma (range 91-103%). The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant mouse Cadherin-7.

Cadherin-7 is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein that mediates homophilic cell-cell interactions and supports the sorting of heterogeneous cell types, with dysregulation linked to developmental disorders and cancer metastasis. The protein is encoded by the Cdh7 gene (UniProt Q8BM92; molecular weight 87,202 Da) and is a single-pass type I membrane protein localised to the cell membrane.
