Mouse CA1/Carbonic Anhydrase I ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers this Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of Carbonic Anhydrase I (CA1) in mouse samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses colourimetric detection via TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm, and is reactive with mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. CA1 plays a role in maintaining acid-base balance, and abnormal levels have been implicated in metabolic disorders, osteoporosis, and kidney diseases.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity has been validated across serial dilution points: serum 80–104%, EDTA Plasma 80–101%, and Heparin Plasma 80–104%. Recovery ranges are reported for serum (85–104%, average 95%), EDTA Plasma (93–103%, average 98%), and Heparin Plasma (90–105%, average 96%). Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The protocol follows a sandwich workflow with primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction measured at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance covers serum (clotting then centrifugation at 1000 × g for 20 minutes), plasma (anticoagulant tubes, 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C), tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate.
