Mouse C4b-binding protein (C4bpa) ELISA Kit

C4BPA is a key protein in immune defence that controls the classical pathway of complement activation. According to the manufacturer, it binds as a cofactor to C3b/C4b inactivator, accelerates the degradation of the C4bC2a complex, and the alpha chain binds C4b, with additional interaction with serum amyloid P component. The kit is targeted at the immunology research area, where abnormal C4BPA levels have been associated with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, making the protein a useful biomarker for studying these conditions.
