Description

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Bone morphogenetic protein 3B (Gdf10) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses colorimetric detection and exhibits a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/ml.

GDF10, also known as Growth/differentiation factor 10, GDF-10, BMP-3B, or Bmp3b, is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily. It is a secreted protein that can function as a homodimer or heterodimer and is described as a key regulator of bone and cartilage development, playing a role in skeletal morphogenesis, cell differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. The protein has a reported molecular weight of 53,122 Da and is associated with the Cancer research area. Members of this family are described as regulators of cell growth and differentiation in both embryonic and adult tissues.

Reported performance characteristics include an Intra CV of 4.6% and an Inter CV of 7.7%. Linearity was demonstrated across serum (92–103% at 1:2, 85–85% at 1:4, 107–117% at 1:8, 92–102% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (94–106%, 86–98%, 93–101%, 97–106%), and heparin plasma (108–119%, 101–110%, 97–107%, 92–101%). Recovery was 81% (range 80–87%) for serum and 83% (range 80–89%) for plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Bone morphogenetic protein 3B and is for research use only.
