Mouse BNP/Brain Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich double-antibody ELISA kit designed for the precise quantification of Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. BNP is a hormone involved in regulating blood pressure and fluid balance, with elevated levels commonly associated with heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for cardiovascular research in mouse models.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a measurable range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity has been demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples spiked and diluted at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8, with reported recovery rates of 86–103% (serum, average 94%), 86–99% (EDTA plasma, average 93%), and 88–104% (heparin plasma, average 95%). Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C, where the kit remains stable for up to 12 months.

The assay uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin (SABC) signal amplification and TMB as the substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sample preparation protocols are provided for serum (centrifuge at 1000 × g for 20 minutes), plasma (centrifuge at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C), tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysates.
