Mouse BMP8B ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of mouse BMP8B (bone morphogenetic protein 8B, UniProt P55105) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. BMP8B is described as a growth factor involved in bone and cartilage development, energy metabolism, and thermogenesis, making it a relevant biomarker for metabolic and musculoskeletal research in the cell biology field.

Validated linearity in mouse samples at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 is reported as 88–101%, 82–100%, and 88–100% for serum (n=5); 88–104%, 82–95%, and 80–99% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 86–96%, 88–100%, and 81–100% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges and averages are 86–102% (91%) for serum, 85–103% (95%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–102% (95%) for heparin plasma. The assay uses a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB color development, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Kit components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, with specified components suitable for storage at −20°C for 12 months.
