Mouse BMP6 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Bone Morphogenetic Protein 6 (BMP6) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. BMP6 is a member of the TGF-beta superfamily with established roles in bone and cartilage formation and in the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. Abnormal BMP6 levels have been associated with osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and certain types of cancer, supporting its value as a potential biomarker in related research.

The double-antibody sandwich format delivers a reported sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a standard range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm immediately after the stop step. Reported average recovery is 99% in serum (range 86-104%), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 86-105%), and 95% in heparin plasma (range 87-102%).
