Belonging to the TGF-β superfamily of secreted signaling ligands, mouse Bone Morphogenetic Protein 9 (BMP-9) is investigated in studies of hepatic iron regulation, vascular endothelial biology, bone formation, and glucose homeostasis. Also known as growth differentiation factor 2 (GDF-2), BMP-9 signals through activin receptor-like kinase 1 (ALK1) and Smad1/5/8 effectors, and is a focus of angiogenesis, hepatology, and metabolic disease research.

This Assay Genie PharmaGenie ELISA Kit is intended for quantitative measurement of mouse BMP-9 in cell culture supernatant, plasma, or serum samples. The kit is supplied in a 96-assay format, with pre-coated microplate wells, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant BMP-9 standards, streptavidin-HRP, wash buffer, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution included for the immunoassay workflow.
