Mouse BMI-1 (Polycomb complex protein BMI-1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse BMI-1 (Polycomb complex protein BMI-1). It uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit provides a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL and a detection range of 7.813–500 pg/mL. Reagents are intended to be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum (92–105% at 1:2, 89–98% at 1:4, 80–100% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (85–100% at 1:2, 87–101% at 1:4, 85–98% at 1:8) and heparin plasma (91–105% at 1:2, 82–95% at 1:4, 82–99% at 1:8). Recovery across the same sample types ranges from 87–104% (average 95%) for serum, 86–102% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 95–101% (average 98%) for heparin plasma.

BMI-1 is a component of the polycomb repressive complex 1 (PRC1) and is involved in the regulation of gene expression and cell proliferation. Research interest in BMI-1 spans the field of epigenetics and nuclear signalling, with dysregulation of the protein linked to cancer and neurological disorders.
