Description

A high-quality sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantification of mouse survivin (BIRC5) levels across multiple sample types, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is reactive with mouse samples. Survivin is a key protein involved in the regulation of cell division and apoptosis, and its expression is frequently dysregulated in cancer and other diseases, making this kit a valuable tool for research into disease progression and treatment options within the cell death research area.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL, with all components stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been validated in serum (85–99% at 1:2, 85–105% at 1:4, 87–105% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (85–92% at 1:2, 86–95% at 1:4, 84–101% at 1:8) and heparin plasma (84–99% at 1:2, 88–99% at 1:4, 83–94% at 1:8). Spike-and-recovery performance is reported for serum (range 85–101%, average 93%), EDTA plasma (range 88–103%, average 96%) and heparin plasma (range 90–105%, average 98%). The kit is associated with UniProt entry O70201 and is also referenced by the synonyms API4, EPR-1 and IAP4.

The standard protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, followed by primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm immediately after addition of stop solution.
