BACE1 — the aspartyl protease that initiates amyloidogenic cleavage of amyloid precursor protein (APP) and drives amyloid-beta generation — sits at the center of Alzheimer's disease research, and quantifying this enzyme in mouse specimens is essential for studies of amyloidogenesis, secretase inhibitor pharmacology, and neurodegeneration model characterization. The Mouse Beta-Site APP Cleaving Enzyme 1 (bACE1) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie meets this need with a chromogenic, microplate-based quantitative immunoassay.

Reagents are supplied for 96 individual sample measurements and the assay delivers an absorbance-based endpoint read on standard microplate readers. Compatible specimen matrices span blood-derived fractions, processed tissue homogenates, and cerebrospinal fluid, allowing measurement in circulating, peripheral tissue, and central nervous system compartments where BACE1 is endogenously expressed or pharmacologically modulated. Matched capture and detection antibodies recognize separate epitopes on the mouse BACE1 protein.

For in vitro research applications, the kit is supplied with pre-coated plate wells, calibrated standards, and detection reagents. Working stocks are stored refrigerated at 4°C after reconstitution; long-term storage of antibody and standard components at -20°C is recommended to preserve activity, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be minimized. Light-sensitive detection reagents are protected from light per the supplied manual.

This product is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or clinical procedures.
