Mouse Beta-glucuronidase (Gusb) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse beta-glucuronidase (GUSB), a lysosomal enzyme that plays an important role in the degradation of dermatan and keratan sulfates and has been linked to lysosomal storage disorders and cancer. The kit is reactive with mouse and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, detecting both natural and recombinant mouse beta-glucuronidase.

Detection is performed by ELISA with a reported detection range of 0.156–10 U/mL and a sensitivity of 0.082 U/mL. Intra-assay CV is 3.8% and inter-assay CV is 7.5%. Serum linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (N=5) was 83–92%, 107–117%, 112–124% and 103–113% respectively. Spiking recovery averaged 97% (range 91–103%) in serum and 99% (range 93–105%) in plasma.

Synonyms for the target include Gus and Gus-s. The native protein is a homotetramer localised primarily to the lysosome, with a small proportion found in the endoplasmic reticulum, and has a reported molecular weight of 74,195 Da (UniProt P12265). For research use only.
