Mouse Beta-defensin 4 (Defb4) ELISA Kit

The target protein (UniProt P82019) has a molecular weight of 20.6 kDa and is also referred to by the synonyms Defensin beta 4, BD-4, and Bdef4 (NCBI Gene ID: 56519). Functionally, the protein exhibits antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and may act as a ligand for C-C chemokine receptor CCR6.

Validation data demonstrate reliable linearity across sample dilutions, with serum (N=5) ranging from 93-103% at 1:2 to 86-99% at 1:16, EDTA plasma (N=5) from 109-118% at 1:2 to 105-114% at 1:16, and heparin plasma (N=5) from 92-102% at 1:2 to 102-111% at 1:16. Recovery in serum averages 97% (range 91-103%) and in plasma averages 99% (range 93-105%).
